Problems with network

I usually stream videos from my mapped network drive, but since I reinstalled the other day, i can only barely access the video folder, its is laggy and crashes explorer when trying to load the thumbnails i think....

It works fine from 2 other PCs in the house...

So i thought it was a codec problem, but I think I have all the codecs i need:

    mycodecsbz1.jpg

Any ideas? Is there a better way to stream video from the server to my pc other than file sharing?

    Thanks

Filesharing is fine. Looks like you have lots of troubleshooting ahead. Is this on a wired or wireless connection.

Reboot all machines, routers and switched, clear ARP caches (google for this) and check all network cables and connections.

Start off using ping to the server with the -t switch and see if you get any lost packets.

If you have another network card spare I'd give that a go on the machine which is having trouble as well just in case something is wrong with the NIC (It's happened to me).

Its a wired network, I will try my other NIC...

I noticed that its more sluggish than usual on my dad's PC too...

So, it could be a problem with the server :(
