Budget? What budget? Politicians can't seem to stay within budget and they are our elected leaders. So why should we?

which brings up a question, if 80% of the work force are on less than 34k how can that be the average industrial wage in real terms :D:D (yes yes i know the 2% on over 100k a year bring the average up, im just messing with you)

still im looking forward to getting a pint on my extra money, oh wait they dont go for 3.50 anymore

fantastic site. I was thinking of trying for that checking of your wages thing, but didnt want to risk the chance of losing out, this should give me more of an idea, cheers!

A lot of people do not realise that though. I know a few people with fairly decent jobs who get pissed off when they hear the average wage figures. "Industrial" sort of infers labouring to some people, I know some people who thought higher managerial type jobs would be excluded from that average.

I'll be able to ask my boss for a rise now justifying it on the basis that he'll be able to pay 1% less to the government now.

EDIT: FFS, I just realised this thread is 2 years old. So I didn't even gain that I'm sure!
