USB2 Hub

Only have USB1.1 on my machine. I bought a couple of USB2 Hdds... very slow. When I plug them in a Windows balloon says that they will run faster on a USB2 hub. Is this right? I mean will the hub not be plugged into a 1.1 port?

USB 2.0 supports higher rates of transfer than USB 1.1, but if you plug a USB 2 device into a USB 1 port it will work as though it was a USB 1 connection.

You will need a USB 2.0 PCI card for your PC... you can pick them up for less than a €10 on ebay!
