Inspiron 2200

    Hi Folks

My friend made a mess of his Dell Inspiron 2200 and asked me to take a look.

He said he spilt some beer on the keyboard (he most certainly did the smell was distinctive) but when I opened it up the unit on the motherboard that holds the keyboard ribbon cable in place had come away from the board itself.

I'm not sure if it was heavy handed-ness on my part or something he did that caused this to happen but whats done is done and I need to get it fixed.

There appears to be a number of tiny pins which I think need to be lined up and soldered to corresponding positions on the motherboard. Am I right in thinking this? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Are there any Laptop repair shops you can reccommend?

    Tanx in advance.
