SO I've been looking around for motherboards for a high spec build. I have a few in mind, but I'll throw it out to the experts for some extra advice in case I'm missing something. It will be with a BFG 8800GTX and an Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800, 750W PSU. Suggestions?

Doesn't matter too much which one.

Intel 965/975 or nForce 680i

Some 965 boards are picky about the RAM so avoiding that hurdle you could go for a 975, Komplett mark which ones do support Core 2 & which ones do not.

The 965 boards will be the cheapest and the nForce 680i I think is about the fastest by a very small amount but supports SLI.
