    Laptopsdirect.ie are selling Acer Aspire 5051AWXMi equipped with media center, 512MB Ram, AMD TURION 2G and free upgrade to vista. Is this good?

    I wouldn't be going for just 512mb if I could help it especially to run vista.

    is it easy to change the ram diy style? if so how much could u buy a 1gb one for?

    Need more RAM.This might be better. You might need 2GB for Vista although Microsoft recommend 1GB.

    Ya that's a much better offer plus they state about low cost double memory. 2GB Ram and Vista should be good.
