    That ram will be fine, But it is best to keep the ram the same brand, but i cant envisage you having any problems at all with the ebay ram.

    As far as i can see there is no difference between 5300/5400 they are the same speed ( 667mhz ) But i do believe 5300 is not compatible with core 2 duo cpus. but 5400 is......I think ?

    Mine is core 2 duo (e6300) and i think the dimension e520 on the US dell usually comes with one a core2duo but all the ones crucial mention are 5300. l'll try the dell forums. Thanks for the info
