Has anyone successfully installed the Gmail mobile email application on their Nokia 6280 bought from the 3 network. I'm getting some errors doing it. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

I looked at their existing email application but 3 seem to have locked out some of it's functionality. So I can't manage new email accounts too easily. They seem to only allow 3mail which I've no interest in.

Although I've been reading that the new faster gmail app is for north america only but with some clever updating, it will work in Europe too.

Any knowledge of this or do you know how you get gmail to work with a different email application?

you can't use the email application that comes with the phone. when you get web access (you can get an hour free a day) it lists all the sites you can go onto. gmail is one of them. there's no way to make an email come to your phone as soon as its sent afaik
