Far and the way the most boring, slow moving and helped ion almost no way move the story of plot.

For the first time my faith in the program and writers was shaken.

    I mean nothing happened.....absolutely.......

    Jack you fucking legend.
I thought that was great. Nice cameo from Nathan Fillion.
Lots of cliffhangery stuff going on; Jack was on Jacob's list? Who? All that stuff with Alex, Benry asking after and whatnot. "Lift up your eyes and look north", and of course what will become of Jack, Kate and Sawyer. It's gonna be a tough wait for the next stuff.

I think that there wasnt much of an advance in the story but there was something there for you to think about i.e. Locke seeing the message. I dont understand that odd part where jack got out of his cell.

Couldn't disagree more, thought it was very good tonight. My heart was beating when the gun was on Sawyer and Jack was on the walkie to Kate! Just wish it wasn't taking a break now. :(

Jack was let out by Ben so he would see Sawyer and Kate together - that would then mean Jack had no reason to protect them and would only be worried about himself - thus allowing Ben and Jack to do a deal on surgery.

A subtle Benry plan - that appeared to have worked until good ole Jacks morals got the better of him!

I agree, thought it was fairly crap to be honest. I'm starting to realise that i much prefer the stuff form the original island with sayid, desmond locke an co. I'm sick of the whole jack, kate, sawyer thing, maybe something more interesting will happen if they escape.

I was impressed. As mentioned, Jack grew a pair. I didn't expect him to **** up the operation, but fair play to him. Also, Ben still seems to have a loyal following. If Julies takeover plan was real, she doesn't seem to have a lot of support. All in all I've been reasonably happy with the opening six episodes. The Others are much better characterised now, they've been shown to be anything but completely in charge of the situation. Locke is back on track on the main island.
IMO, blowing up the hatch was the best move ever, because it got rid of the artificial "what happens when the clock runs out" question.

Can't agree with that.. that single question kept me enthralled for the duration of the second season.

Yes, I know what you mean, it kept me hooked too. I suppose the point I'm making is that I think the payoff from answering the question (the hatch blowing up) wasn't quite significant enough for the time devoted to it. It didn't seem to have any real impact on the plans of the others, for instance.

I was hoping for a little development on that in this episode. That's two that've gone by without this being an issue.

I was expecting Sawyer to be killed tbh. It wouldn't be too far off what the writers might actually do.

What are Kate and Sawyer supposed to do? They're trapped. Are they gonna steal a boat?

It was a pretty good cliffhanger. I'm glad Jack is back on track and Locke has become mystical again. There's nothing worse than when Locke goes off the boil.

Poor old Mr Eko didn't get much of a send off, but nice touch with the insciption on the stick.

Will i be able to contain myself until February?

I really enjoyed the episode myself. I thought it was a real surprise and totally unexpected that Jack sabotaged the operation! :D Really dark, and suspenseful! What'll happen now with Ben? Will he die? Will Kate get away, and radio back the message in time? If so will Juliet assume control of the Others while Ben is recovering?

We know there's meant to be something happening that changes things in a major way, will they kill Jack for what he's done? After all, Jack originally wasn't even meant to survive beyond the pilot!!!

    Roll on Feburary!

They can't kill Ben he's one of the best characters around. I'd say Kate will escape from Pickett then just radio Jack the message and try to come back and save him.
The message on the Jesus stick, look north, I presume is the direction of the Alcatraz island and Locke will hopefully find it soon and come in and save their ass. He said he was going to find them in his speech so presumably he will.
I think as well that Kate chose Sawyer because he was also a runner whereas Jack reminded her more of her husband, someone to settle down with.

I like the way Kate went on the run from the law in the 1950s.

The cops would never think of looking for her there.

Dunno how anyone could be bored in this episode  tbh I haven't been bored in any Lost episode. That's not to say 'Lost can dp no wrong' it's just that they manage to create great television without (a lot of the time) advancing the plot.

Anyway, the flashbacks didn't tell us more but they were cool. It was predictable though, as soon as Kates husband said "I love you Monica". It was really sad when she had to leave him...I guess it's kinda good that Kate is on the island. It won't matter if she falls in love with someone, she won't have to leave them. And it happens to be Sawyer! YAY! They finally got it on...in a dirty cage....in front of a camera. Kinky.

Poor Jack seeing Kate and Sawyer. He pulled through in the end though. I knew he would. I wonder what will happen. He doesn't know there are two islands. Where will they all run? He seems to be making a sacrifice because, even if Kate and Sawyer did escape, he'll be left there. I hope they don't kill off any of them though.

I knew they couldn't kill Sawyer off but I was still really shocked. Great scene with Kate telling him to fight, and Sawyer telling her to shut her eyes.

Huge cliffhanger though...I won't be able to wait til February

Juliet obviously has the hots for Jack and my guess it we'll be seeing her back on the main island with Jack & others in due course, with a smattering of sub-plots of Kate being a jealous bitch with Juliet's possession of Jack. Or something.

The fact that Juliet's a fertility doctor and Kate obviously didn't conceive with her husband back in Florida may come into play?

Don't really care so long as they don't kill off Sawyer and Kate, best lookin couple currently on tv, apart from Podge&Rodge of course.

Well, Sawyer was brought up to high ground by Ben and shown a second island. But, of course, there are many theories around it...

    1. It is an illusion.
    2. It is one island joint in a big loop.
    3. There are two islands BUT The Others and Sawyer,Kate and Jack are on the same island as the Losties and Ben just showed Sawyer a random island to keep them from escaping.
    4. There are two islands AND The Others are telling the truth about who being on what island.

    etc. etc.

    We just don't know yet...

Yeah I was thinking about that. Should be interesting alright. Hopefully she will help Sawyer, Jack and Kate to escape and she'll go with them. Possible love square thing going on there! If this happens though, they can't do it without having a big conversation between Juliet and Losties about who the hell the Others are!
