What setup do you guys have for at home / bedroom mixing? At the moment I have a set of Altec Lancing ADA995 speakers which are great for gaming / home cinema but I cannot set them up correctly with my curret setup with a Behringer BCD2000. The speakers have a cabe that is split into three, greeb back and yellow and I can't get both the controller and the pc to run at the same time.

I was thinking of ditching it and just going for a seperate amp and speakers instead, want to check out what you guys have. Really I shouldn't bother but I was thinking if I can pick up somehting half decent perhaps second hand pretty cheap it might be worth it. Ideally I'd like somehting small enough to be in my bedroom and bit enough to do a very small party - but this might be asking too much.

    Can anyone offer some advice?

Heheh, exactly what I'm using as well :) More than adequate in terms of loudness for a small party (which I use them for).

I have crappy active Behringer monitors, MS16s I think. Cheap auld yokes but they do for sitting in my room with the decks out.

If I'm feeling saucy I can run from the mixer into the line in on my Toneport UX2 (a guitar, bass, vocals recording interface) and then out to the MS16s.

This way I can apply delay, modulation, EQ, wah, distortion, pre-amp etc through the Gearbox application and record straight into Audacity or I can record into Live and play sample off the PC as I'm recording.

Only got my decks about 2 months ago but starting to figure out some little tricks like this using what I've already got.
