    I am re-watching season 8 at the moment and im just near the end i just finished watching threads and i am about to move onto moebius and i have to say season would have been such a great way to end SG1.

    It just all plays out so well and i love moebius ending as well.
    Dont get me wrong i LOVE SG1 and i am VERY happy that we have seasons nine and ten and that we are going to get two movies as well.
    There have some amazing episodes and scenes in both season nine and ten.

    Im just wondering do you think the 2nd movie will be able to end it all as well as season would have had it been the last season.

    I would call season eight the best season but each season all have a few brilliant episodes and some absolutely amazing.

    Two favorites that just came to mind where "Full Circle" and "Abyss"

    I think season 8 would have been a nice way to end it. They had closed off most of the major story lines and the go'uld thing was nicely wrapped up. The extra two seasons have just added a whole load of fluff to the overall story and made it needlessly complex. I still don't see why the Ori were introduced. I think that after season 8 they should have either ended it or dealt with the plentiful amount of open stories they had left from the previous years... To me it doesn't actually feel like SG-1 since season 8. There is something surreal about it all, like it is all set in dream world.

    Season 8 would have been good, but Moebius was a **** way to end any season, and it would have been worse if it was the end of the show.
    Maybe if Moebius and Reckoning were switched.l

    Nine and ten really should have been the new show like the producers planned.

    "Threads" would have worked definetely as an ending. The producers were thinking that it was the show's end but they got a new show.

    Didn't they originally want to re-title the show as "Stargate Command" for S9? That would have made more sense as the show's cast had altered dramatically. But TPTB were against it as a re-branding they feared could have lost some of their fanbase and revenue. *Sigh*

    Thats reley intereting.
    That would have been a brillent idea for season 9

    Remember how good the orginal ending was?
    Full Circle was orginally a "final episode"
