I don't have a credit card so I can't set up an itunes account to get the artwork, is there any other simple way of getting album artwork, besides copy and pasting it in for every song?

Try below...still a tad painfull/slow but at same time a freebie and works ~90% of time. Make sure to follow the instructions by the letter otherwise won't work (obviously enough I suppose). Know it looks "old" i.e. 2004 but works on ITunes 7.0.2 as well

I don't have English iTunes in front of me, so this is a rough response to your question.

First, you don't have to do it song by song. You can do whole albums at a time. At the bottom left of iTunes, where you see the artwork, it should say 'Selected Item' above it, and not 'Now Playing'. With this, select all songs on the album, and drag the artwork into the artwork box. If you're doing this for a large amount of CDs at first, it's pretty tedious, but at least when you're done that, you can get into a habit of putting the artwork there each time you rip a CD.

There are programs that get the artwork for you, but I've found these a little problematic. They don't necessarily choose the best artwork, and it can happen that you'll get a lot of albums in your library with blurry or wrong (Japanese editions, special editions...) artwork.

I've had to stick to the tedious way...

On iTunes7 you can just hit 'Get Album Artwork' at the top and it assigns artwork to every song.

My experience with iTunes 7 is that after hitting Get Album Artwork I needed to copy the artwork, then select each of the songs in an album, right-clicking and selecting Get Info and pasting the cover art into the space there. After doing that all the artwork shows up on my iPod.

Just clicking 'Get Artwork' (without anything selected) gets every album in your library's artwork.
