I must get my ticket for it, sure to be an absolutely whopper atmosphere at the game, hopefully the weather will allow for a good game unlike at the weekend.

So where are all these 'fans' the rest of the time? If attendances don't improve elsewhere then it could be that all it will be is the 4 provinces playing each other.

I agree in that I don't have a problem with massive crowds and think its fantastic that so many people will turn up.

However, there are always other options when money is involved. I think we can all agree that the English system is appearing to have major flaws and the money men behind it are going to to look for ways of increasing gates and entertainment value. I know this is an old chestnut etc but there is always a possibility of the Welsh teams going east.

Welsh teams are not funded by their Union so are looking for bigger gates to make them viable. The less interest shown by teams in the ML the likelier this becomes an option

yeah I was there too, unreal that 50+ yard P&D. Deffo the Munster influence of Keogh and Hogan in there, aided and abbetted by the hardest working down and dirty "glamour posh boy backs" Ive ever seen.

BOD Darce and Horgan are just becoming a phonomenal force in all aspects. That game, 1st to deny Ulster a homw iwn all season, was another milestone in development. Hopefully they can replicate that when necesary in future!

I really enjoyed the craic in the promenade met some really sound guys there thanks Ulster for a good night;)

Don't know why anyone would want to have anything to do with English rugby at the moment (wales that is),

Meant to buy my ticket for this last week actually, better get to it.

tbh, I dont think there's enough interest on either side for the welsh to go east, nor do I think the level of rugby would be high enough in a combined event.

as for this, I dislike being in dublin for new years, so think i'll be watching it from castlebar this year. pity, cus its the only thing this new years i'd like to be here for :)

While the English National team is having a nightmare, the GP is relatively healthy crowds wise and OK the game is boring but and this is where I think Ireland forget the position they have put themselves in (i.e. not needing the big crowds due to funding from the Union), crowds for cross border games would have big gates week in and week out, at least there are very few meaningless games played in the GP, unlike the ML.

Now I am being a bit of a devils advocate here as I would prefer to watch a quality high intensity ML game over the GP, but how many games a season fits in to that category!!!
