Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,
Anyone any suggetions toward dream interpretation (from the psychodynamic perspective)? I've read the previous thread under this heading, seems the world of boards.ie not really a follower.

But for own research...any good texts on this out there?

    thanks,

    D

If you want to explore dreams from a psychoanalytic perspective you have to start with Freud, The Interpretation of Dreams, its the classic psychoanalytic text book. You need to be weary of ch.6 where he deals with symbolism, and basic goes against his own theory. The classic theory is the dream is a rebus and through the process of free association you put "words on things". Even in analysis it is a difficult topic, even harder to deal with by yourself, but best of luck with it.
