We're looking at a bundle that includes mario kart with the old DS for the same price as the new DS with no game. Is the lite really worth that much extra?

I don't have either but i'd say it would be worth the extra cash for the lite... it seems a much tidier piece of kit, lighter, smaller and much better looking as far as handheld games consoles go. Then again, as i said... i don't have either, only second hand experience.

Definetly go for the Lite - the screen is miles better and the reduction in size make a big difference. The Lite is something you could actually carry around in a jacket pocket. The Phat, would still be too bulky.

Nice one. Decision made. Thanks lads, much appreciated.

Anyone know of an online bundle for the lite + mario kart?

I traded my old DS for the DS lite in Gamestop at a cost of 80euro which was a great deal imo. The lite is sooo much nicer in every way. Definately worth the bit extra. Probably the nicest looking Nintendo system to date. (except for the Wii;) )

The DS Lite is awesome. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say it's about one million times better than the DS. It's hot.

    ROFL. Thanks kon. :D

For anyone else purchasing: Amazon are doing a deal for £110 for a DS and decent game. Seemed reasonable enough.

I'm fairly sure Amazon.co.uk can't ship games and the like to Ireland anymore due to them not sorting out the WEEE charge, and Amazon.com never could ship games to Ireland.
