No overlay in this tonight. 48 runners i think with a mixed standard. Unfortunately i had 2 donks at my table and a couple of all-in merchants. Twice the same guy called my 8xBB raise with 75o, hit middle pair and was incapable of folding it.

I got crippled when another donk called my raise with A2 on a Q45 board, only to hit a 3 and i walked into the trap. I was then all in on the BB holding 102 on a 1027 flop only to be outdrawn by A7.

OllyK was still flyin the flag with 7 left when i was going..completely broke after some sick outdraws in the omaha cash game. complete and utter degeneracy is the only way to describe what went on! Every 2nd pot was at least 100 preflop and having 5 or 6 allins wasnt an uncommon occurance!

I managed a second place finish to Kevin Fitz.

1st was 2k and 2nd 1200 but with Kevin having a 3:1 chip lead and having played headsup for 30 minutes we decided to split it 1450 for me and 1750 for him as there was quite a bit of play left and I felt I'd end up in a coin flip and end up splitting it if I won the flip or else go home with 1200 so I was happy enough with the deal (he took a little convincing lol).

The final table had a number of the DIT crew and but they managed to bust nice chip stacks outside the bigger money places for a number of reasons, including not getting lucky.

Cracking game with a lot of play for mid week. The bigger turnout was a boon too as in general the standard drops with increased numbers imho and it was true tonight too.

Having said that there were a number of top class players too which is always fun for a lowroller like me.

The highlight of the night had to be informing Hectorjelly that he'd been playing with Rooney Dives (and bluffing him out of it) for three hours and hadn't realised it. :p

Anyway thats my buyin secured for Saturday's 500 game. I will be selling 20% of my action at face value if anyone is interested pm me. Oversubscribed now so thanks for the interest

Well done Olly! I think Kevin is one of the better 'regulars' in Dublin and I'd be fairly happy with that deal I think.

Do you have a Stars account? Just in case I'm interested in buying some action.

    Cheers lads,

To be honest it felt like a bigger cash then it was because of how the final table played out with me being in the bottom two stack wise for over two hours (still a playable tank but short relatively speaking) and the run of cards I was getting.

Initially Kevin wanted to chop the thing 1800/1400 and I asked for 1700/1500 but he wouldn't deal he had 290k and I had 80k. 30 minutes later with the blinds going to 5000/10000 he had 280k and I had 90k and neither of us was overplaying our hands so it was obvious that it would hinge on either a marginal hand or a big hand running into a bigger hand. I was happy to do business in the circumstances.

    Paul,

I was telling DocO a story last night and mentioned that I must email you the details as you'd appreciate the topic and he was enquiring as to how you were getting on. Pity your blog is down as too would love an update on how the move to Oz has gone for you. Anyway I'll send you an email with the story - it's a cracker.

Don't sweat it Len. Joe gifted them to me in the end when he announced his hand preflop (94) and allowed me to value bet third pair on the river to tilt him slghtly :p and then I took on his ace rag and did a lot of damage on an ace high flop.

I'll be there on Saturday alright. It should be good I still don't know if I'll call you down with a raggy 5 though!! lol
