Another ruling question!

4 players left in hand, 1 is all-in preflop, rest are all-in on the flop.
One guy has turned over AKo and after seeing flop and turn he picks up his cards and throws them into the muck. The river comes down to leave a straight on the board with noone having a better hand.

Does the AK guy get his share of the pot and why?

The TD ruled his hand dead but I seem to remember a story here about somebody winning a pot without cards after bluffing at the river and everyone else folding. Surely this is similar in that he is playing the board with or without cards!

And part 2 (one i meant to ask ages ago):

Preflop raise all-in, folded around to BB. BB then lets the guy behind him see his cards and then asks him if should he play. Guy behind says he should and BB calls.

    What's the ruling?

Cards speak in case one? AK dude gets his share... maybe

In case two, BB's hand is dead and his call is forfeited to the pot. Only one player to a hand, this is just cheating!

I'm no tourney director but this is how i feel the outcomes should be

First one. No chance, he mucked on the turn. Just cause the nuts are on the board he wants his share of the pot !!!. If the BB or SB folded preflop then theyve as much right (i.e. none) to a share of the pot.

2nd hand..Its cheating pure and simple (though he may not have meant it).
Say he has A4 and the guy he shows it to has folded A4 as well, he'd be told not to call, so he potentially gains an advantage.

All IMHO, I'm no tourney director either (I should be though, I'd be great).

anyone who thinks he is entitled to a share of the pot is crazy here , that means the whole table is in 4 the pot from the cards they mucked pre flop .... u need 2 cards in ur hand no matter wat to claim a pot , as to the padraig parkinson situation the dealer taught he had 2 cards as he had his hands covering wat looked like cards

as to the padraig parkinson situation the dealer taught he had 2 cards as he had his hands covering wat looked like cards
    Why is this any different?

Does the fact that he had tabled his cards (above) mean anything?

Correct me if im wrong but im sure the pot had been awarded to padraig before any1 noticed that padraig had no cards and could not be taken back
