    Hi

can anyone let me how does it work if I order something and gets deliver by DHL but needs to pay for customs.

When I get the deliver will they let me know that I have to pay customs on it because is over the €50 gift value or do they send you a letter a few days later asking you to pay.

What happens if the amount charge is correct according to customs guidelines, but it's more than expected and you don't want to pay, I think with Anpost you can say you don't want it and they take back to customs, how does it work with DHL.

    Regards

Its €1 limit with DHL for a gift not €45 as through an post

It depends (your questions are not clear so I must assume ) on whether goods originate in EU or outside EU

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

It will be a bit of both stuff from outside the EU and also cigarettes from within the EU, as the law didn't change I thought it would I might have to pay customs as it is clearly specified in the box what it is. At what point do they have to notify you that there's customs charges, will it be with the delivery or by post after?

How can they limit be €1 I thought those limits were specified by customs not the courier?

    Thanks
