:D Hey guys i'm just building a new pc (specs in other thread here) and was just going to put it all together in this old beige case that i have to save money, but now that i think about it it just wouldn't do the setup justice (not thats its a spectacular setup just that it's a really crappy old case). So lets say for €70-€100 delivered to my door what's the best that i could get. Also i'd like to see some links to the Craziest Cases out there just for the laugh so i can see what i'm missing out on LOL. Thanks guys¬!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

TonyM can't beat that dabs value alien case in terms of price - but looks like a bitachi to work with...

    Still what a good price

this antec is a nice one - fairly standard case but good value and looks quite good.

only 2 usbs on the front though,

I like the look of the dabs gaming case only i dont need a psu. so maybe i can do better as i Dont require the case to come with a PSU.

I bought this case. It's fantastic. Great cooling and big enough for my clumsy ape like hands. But it is expensive.:o

I've seen this case. It seemed a bit flimsy to me.
When selecting a case you need to mindful of cooling, ease of installation, expansion options and looks. Although the last one is totally personal.
Trust me. It is prudent to invest in a good case. Spend the extra bit over the €100. The case and PSU usually carry on in subsequent builds so it's wise to get a case that'll do you for a while.

The Cooler Master Stacker is basically the same case as the Kandalf without the flashy door. €145

The Antec P180 is an excellent case that has won many awards. Custom PC recommend this case. Excellent cooling.€136.18.

Right so guys thanks for the help. seeing as christmas is coming i think i'm gonna ask "santa" aka my mam to get me the antec p180. the kandalf is a bit too flashy for my taste i like the sleekness of the antec. incidently its slightly cheaper on pixmania although postage is a bit expensive but i want the black version. i cant see any more local sites that have it. also any suggestions on a fast quiet SATA 2 HD €100-150

    Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 320GB SATA2 16MB 7200RPM

    Custom PC Product Review

I got this drive based on a few reviews and I've no probs.
You need to enable SATA 2 though as it comes as SATA as standard.
You need to download the utility from their website. Pretty easy.

hmm... what EXACTLY are you looking for? A quiet case, an overclocking case, a girls blouse of a case :D (sorry i've just got a bad taste in my mouth for people who mix arts and crafts with performance pcs ) a case with a window and "ohhh lookit" lights and gizmos? A small case, a large case, a midi case?

Throw all these parameters into the leimrodbot and i'll spew out a recommendation... i.e. 42! ;)

(i'm tired and my head hurts)

EDIT: just read that you are thinking of getting the P180b... be warned it IS larger than you imagine. Antec seem to have a great habit of making their cases look alot smaller in pictures and their website. I've bought the NSK1300, the Fusion and the P180b and they where all larger than I expected. But in saying that the P180 was the best choice for, its silent, not as large as your Kandalfs and Stackers, excellently designed and still has the ability to facilitate overclocking. It's a great middle of the road case, excels at being silent but is pretty good at everything else also. Although if you want that WOW factor, go for the Antec Nine Hundred, it was my second choice.

WEll seeing as you asked, i want a quiet well designed solid stylish case with enough room in it to eventually fit two if not three graphics cards (come on ati i know you can do it and beat nvidia again in the dual card market) and full water cooling. i intend to over clock as an exploratory investigation of the matter not because i want to drive my machine to the limits and i only want the water cooling so that the machine will be quiet cos there is nothing worse than the sound of a jet engine revvving to maxx in your ear evertime you try to transfer a 100kb file and open more than one application at a time. And the only time i want to see the inside the machine is when i'm fiddleing fixing or upgradeing so no feckin gaudy windows alloy wheels or side skirts either. And also a case that does this without making my credit card wheez. i think the p180 fits the bill. thanks for heads up on that one Buadhach.

On the hard drive issue are the barracudas not better with half the seek time at the same price or are they much louder?
