there is a little bit of noise but I do not notice over the sound of the game. I dont have the volume up high either, just sounds like a laptop tbh. If it is very loud contact M$.

Yeah, I suppose if you aren't used to it, it can be loud-ish.

ITS like a pc, has 3 cpus ,needs cooling ,i dont notice any noise when playing games ,if i wanna play a cd i turn on the stereo.Ps2 has passive cooling. the xbox fans make noise,the hardrive makes no noise at all.it makes the same sound as my pc pentium 4 2.4ghz.Every pc needs at least 2 fans ,one for psu ,1 for motherboard .360 .20times more powerful than xbox1 ,needs fans to cool it down.
