And pray tell emmett, how would everyone else see that guitar also if I PMed it?

Get with the program Emmet. Pictures are for everyone, PMing pictures is depriving all of us GAS ravaged Instruments folk of our respective fixes.

So much gas, I ran to the toilet thinking I was going to crap myself, but it was only gas.

She's an absolute beauty, and I have to say, I love those offset inlays.

Thankfully, my guitarlust has been satisfied for the timebeing with the K-7. :)

thread is directed at one person, and one person only..

sure others can comment. but as far as i can see this is a PM on a forum, not a thread.

I get the idea that this is a pretty usual gas-thread, where something nice was spotted, and needed to be posts. The fact that it was a 7 String J Custom probably influenced the thread title though, but I don't think the thread would be any different if it was entitled "Check this baby out!"

Yes, it was directed to one person. That one person is one of the main posters on this forum. That person has a fondness for Ibanez J Customs and Seven strings. That is why it was his name in the title. However, I also wanted people to discuss the guitar. Now, if you wish to discuss this further, pm me. Otherwise, do not post off topic in this thread again.

In fairness, you post off topic in every single other thread yourself

Youre talking around E1050 with customs - that is a serious guitar for that money.

I got some close ups off Noriko and theres plenty of big chips right through the clear (hence the 'C' rating in the u-box), but its still a great price for a player.

I post about Instruments on the Instruments forum.

Now, let's make this clear. The next person to post in this thread about something that has nothing to do with the guitar in the first post gets a one month ban.

Believe it or not, I never even realised there was a rating's thing in the U Box. Have you got those pictures?

    LOL.

    Oh yeah...nice guitar!;)

Never knew there was a rating on the U-Box either. Learn something new every day, don't you?

It's good to know that this Caparison has an A rating:

    Oh babeh!

Going by the guitars i bought off them, A is a minter, B is your basically well taken care of instrument (no major chips or scratches), C has dings and plenty of fretwear but no problems.

They often use the english word 'Junk' to desrcibe, well, pos guitars that they offload super cheap. So sometimes their 'engrish' is appropriate...

Im actually half thinking about this one atm...someone buy bluey;)

Dunno tbh. Slanted pickups never actually did it for me. The marble finish is quite interesting though.

Ah, I like the Caparison style, can't say a slanted pickup is going to make that much difference anyway. What is it about the slanty that doesn't do it for you, is it asthetically displeasing, or does it have an adverse affect on the tone?

Mattias IA Eklundh plays caparisons doesnt he? Dont know much about them tbh, but he seems to do some pretty amazing stuff with em

I just don't like the look of them.

Normally, I don't like PRS's but this... Oh yeah

    Yep, he does indeed.

I've heard fantastic things about Caparison, so I'd love to check one out at some stage.

The slanty pickups.. it just looks like it doesn't fit into the guitar properly! On a strat it's covered by a pickguard but it just looks a little off on the Caparison. But hell I was never going to like it anyway, it was designed after the 50's..
