Hey lads, I was wondering if any of ye had any idea if Dublin Bus will be running a shuttle bus service to the Fairyhouse tomorrow?

    Should be a great day.

There is usually a service from busaras. Give them a ring, but I'd imagine its the same as normal.

Cheers for that. There was no answer at busaras and tried ringing fairyhouse earlier but no joy. I suppose I'll head in to busaras about 10 tomorrow.

I too went to this today - can't say I blame them for calling it off but paying in to see two races isn't great, especially as I'll be in work when the rescheduled meeting runs on wednesday

Ya can't say I was too happy about the way they handled it. Surely leaving the option open to people about what day they could reattend (maybe on production of the racecard), would have been a better gesture than offering free admission on a wednesday afternoon when the majority of people will be working.

Legally , I would have thought you'd be entitled to at least a partial refund. You paid to see 6 races and only 2 were on.

Na, I'd say they are covered by a notice they have on the inside of the race card stating that in the event of the meeting being abandoned after the start of the second race then there would be no refunds.

I was always under the impression that the rule was always no refunds if it was abandoned after the third race. Anybody know when this was changed to after the second race?

I know its a pain in the ass when a meeting is cancelled, especially when you are at it, but in fairness the weather was extreme and they were right to cancel. It just one of them things.
