Adventures of a PLO rock

Okay I'm fairly sure I played this hand badly and yet I wonder.

€50 Round of each last night in the Fitz and I'm the absolute rock at the table. Especially in the plo round.

Some good players at the table and a few weaker ones (including me)

    The villains

Gholi in the SB with ~€160
Kevin Maloney in the BB (best player at the table imho with an action style but only ships his stack in with big hands) ~€200
    Big Mick utg ~€200

    Me in MP1 ~€220

    Mick raises blind to €4

    I have AcAh2h4d and raise to €12

I'm a known tight cash player and have not raised in three rounds of plo.

Folded to Gholi in the SB and after a bit of deliberation he raises to €43

Kevin has a serious think and calls and then Mick shrugs and calls.

Is this a standard push? or should I flat call??

I would prefer to get my whole stack in here preflop rather than 20% of it to be honest.

I shove every time, you could argue for a fold but I don't like calling.

not that im an expert in this as you saw last nite but i think this is a very standard push Olliy and its wrong to play it any other way.
if stacks were deeper then perhaps you chould consider other options but that shallow u should really push.

if you need any other advice like how to call a pot bet on JJ4 board with KK then ask me and dont be shy.;)

    I wasn't going to mention that!:p

My problem with the hand was my table image. My initial thought was push and try to get it headsup with plenty of dead money but then I started to over think it and veered between folding and calling. I didn't think there were many cards left in the deck to help me and focussed on that a little too much.

I finally chose the worst option and called. My problem is that I should be pushing here automatically. This omaha learning experience could get expensive.... The other point to note is how shallow we're playing when blind raises are taken into account. The funding needed to play optimally is a lot higher then I was prepared to go.:(

The flop fell JJ4 as Gholi mentioned. Kevin pushed and I knew he had a Jack at this stage so I folded. Others weren't so fortunate. :p

yeh if i can get more than 3/4 of my stack in preflop with the aces I usually do it and hope for a non connected flop. If I can go all in, id always push; there not a huge favourite but there a favourite. Its a bit sick if the other aces are out, but you could have ruled out me and mick having them. Its just wether gholi had them, youd be splitting a lot of pots

(in fairness I couldnt miss all night though! Makes up for the top set, nut flush draw on fourth street outdraws ive been getting recently)
