I have a wireless network adapter for my 360, everything has been fine but now i cant connect to Xbox live. The adapter at the back was red , so i unplugged it , plugged it back in and now there is no light at all. When i try check connection its saying unconnecatble for my wireland adapter . I am using a 3 meg Eircom , wih Netopia router. But 2 days and i cant connect , anybod got any ideas ? ? Is the 360 network adapter broken ? ?

Its happened before but it sorted itself out.

I hope you have the same router as me, if so follow this link: http://192.168.1.254/ (brings you into your 'modem')

Now on the left hand side

click on expert mode - (click yes to confirm)

    click on configure -

    click on connection

at the bottom of your screen look for upnp and click on the the box beside to de-select it -

click save changes - and you 'should' be set to go.

I called xbox and they told me that my network adapter is fine and that its eircom that i need to talk to. I called Eircom and they told me that it was not their problem its microsoft that i need to talk to.

I am just wondering , i am living in an apartment , could it be that an apartment below is effecting it some how ? ?

This may or may not be of help: I had a surprising inability to connect after not changing anything, and it was that the xbox was using 192.168.1.1 as it's DNS. That is my router (you can check using windows to see what your own gateway IP is, different routers have different gateway IPs). I changed it one of Eircoms DNS and it's fine again. Again, I never changed anything, although I hadn't used the 360 in around a month.

ALso, just check to make sure that the router is allowing DHCP stuff and giving the xbox a local IP. I know this is simple stuff! And of course, check to see if the 360 will then connect over LAN cable connection from your router.
