Poker Dicipline

Ok, I think I've reached the stage now where i would consider myself a solid enough player with one or two tricks (apart from last night..sshhessh I was bad). However, i think my main problem now is dicipline, I know what hands I should play carefully etc and when to spot weakness BUT from time to time I overplay my hand and this tendency ruins what up to then has been good tourny play.

So (longwindedly) I'm asking you experts out there ..How does a player with a dicipline leak manage to contain this tendency? Any tips? I think it's refered to as a blow up, but I need to plug this, up until recently I had it under control but a succession of extreme bad beats has punctured my game.

Perhaps some examples of overplaying your hands and these blow up's you mention?.

Ok, here is one, I'm at a final table close 2nd/3rd in chips, CL aggressive keeps rasing my blinds, I'm getting peeved as he luckboxed his way into the lead and now feels invincible , 6 left, I look down at A J and reraise CL who attacked my blinds agian x 4bb.I reraise by 10, he calls, flop is rags, I PUSH, he calls with A rag and I'm out. My lack of dicipline cost me there and blow up was I felt he hit his rag but was too indiciplined to listen to myself....although I felt he would play sht like that....(not calling this a bad beat mind just bad play by me)

there is nothing wrong with this hand.
Maybe I would just shove preflop though.
