I bought a book a few years ago by Quentin Willson (ex-Top Gear) called 'Classic Cars' which is excellent.

Try Don Mc Clenahan 086 0619745, he advertises in Irish Vintage Scene and attends a lot of shows, he has a large selection of books for sale.
The 5 Classic and Sportscar A-Z of Cars series of books are very comprehensive, b/w photos only though and some maybe out of print. The cover, 1920s 1930s, 1945-1970, 1970s, and 1980s They cover cars sold on the UK market.

Haynes have a guide to owning and maintaining a classic car which is a glossy type book with a smattering of technical tips and nice photos and is not a maintenance manual. It's not bad as a present.
