Yahoo has installed itself as my homepage and I can't get rid of it!

Yahoo has installed itself as my homepage instead of IOL which I want; when I change my homepage back, it keeps reverting to Yahoo again. Is this some kind of virus?
I would be grateful for any advice!

Have you installed any software recently? I know of two applications that include the yahoo toolbar by default. Nero and Adobe reader.

Irish TLR, my son had installed a new version of Internet Explorer, and it did happen after that; but Tipp Guy, we're not sure how it happened, but we have just found that Zone Alarm was the problem, it was being rigid and not allowing the home page to be changed back. Thanks very much for those links, I'm saving them for another, sure-to-come time.
