Wasn't this just the best program ever of it's kind? Isn't it still? Great characters was the key, great young actors clinched it.

Repeats on Friday nights after Jools. It brings me back.............

Lads, lads, where have you been hiding? BBC have shown the complete series over the last few weeks, with 2 episodes a night back to back. The episode you saw last night after Jools Holland was the penultimate one (Miles Stag Night). Don't miss the last one of the series being broadcast next wednesday 11.30pm! The series has been reshown to whet our appetites for the new christmas reunion episode that the BBC have finally made. :)

You're right, it was brilliant television, even the soundtrack music will bring ya right back!! The camera work, editing and acting were all top-notch too.

I really enjoyed watching this again, had seen portions of it back when it was last rebroadcast around 5 years ago and I'd forgotten how good it was. Not that they're exactly the most likeable bunch of characters (with a couple of exceptions) but it's extremely compelling viewing, well paced and very well written, convincing dialogue. So do you guys subscribe to the consensus view that Rachel is the manipulative bitch and Milly's cold treatment of her is valid? I couldn't help disliking Milly by midway through series 2, she seems to regard herself as the victim in every situation but really her problems are more-or-less self created. Anna's got to be the best character, sharp cynical wit coupled with a complete self-destruct tendency. Miles is the kind of person I'd want to punch in real life but he becomes more interesting when the cocksure public schoolboy front breaks down.. Ferdy's pretty interesting too, a lot more to the character than you initially think.. I believe all the gay sex on-screen caused something of a storm back when it was first shown in 95/96. Quite looking forward to the reunion special episode, though I wonder how well it'll work in a single long episode format - a lot of the success of the original show was in the accumlation of small details across several episodes so the plotlines had a degree of subtlety to them. Apparently the new episode opens with the 5 housemates all attending the funeral of one of the characters - I won't say which one!

yes Rachel is a bitch. the last episode shows this. she's quite good looking though.

will reiterate my point that as far as i'm concerned, it is the best drama programme ever to have been broadcasted either in europe or in america. its realism, clever plot lines, dynamite dialogue and extraordinary acting by all members of the cast have all contributed to this.

have to agree that ferdi is actually quite an interesting character. more than one thinks when he initially came into the story.

i was disagreed with when i said that there is not one weak link in the characters. some said ferdi was a weak character but i don't think so. he's more complex than you'd think.

can't wait for the reunion. tues 2nd january. counting down already.

where did you hear that junkie about the funeral?

Great show alright. The producers probably asked them all back and whoever said no, died.

There's a bunch of articles online about the reunion episode that give away some of the details, just drop "this life reunion" or something similiar into Google (don't if you don't want some of the surprises spoiled, though!)

    Recent picture of cast together

Have just read an in-depth account of what has happened the characters in the last 10 years.

Assuming it's accurate, it's pretty different stuff to what you'd think.

Have to say that was a great series. I was only 16 at the time but it was just so good and so different then. Really enjoyed looking at the repeats. I remember seriously fancying Millie back then. The other thing that looked strange was them all smoking any where and every where even in the offices. Things change alot in 10 years!!
