Look for for some advice on whether the HP DV2104 is a decent laptop for €999. I'll be using it for browsing, some office work (excel, etc) and bringing on holidays for watching DVDs etc. I won't be playing any graphic intensive games so graphics aren't highly important for me. Cheers

Are you sure you've done the conversion to Euro correctly? I make that out as 891 Euro. At 891 Euro it's only ok value.

At 1149 it is silly money - you can get much better value elsewhere.

Sorry posted the wrong price originally, it's actually 999 in Harveys but going by what you are saying it ain't good value at this price either

As a general rule, shops such as Harvey Normans (I presume it's not Harvey Nichols?) give very poor value for money. They sell to the uninitiated and add a hefty premium for the privilege.

PC World, as much as it kills me to admit, seem to have some decent spec laptops for ok prices.
