A lot of blogs I've been reading recently mention the blogger trying out some sort of challenge much like Mr. Ferguson's.

So if the following is true.

You're a winning cash game player at your given level.

We'll take 2/4 as the example

You can sustain a higher than average ROI in STT's

    $50 STT's

You have a decent record in MTT's

You decide to start with $200 for the challenge.

Given a target of 10k to reach in 8 weeks.

What would you put the most time into.

    Cash/STT/MTT

and what level's would you start at for each.

The levels in the post are not the starting points.

They're examples of where you might be currently.

You can start at any level in any of the 3.

    so 0.1c/0.2c NLHE

1c stt's (if there is such a thing)

    MTT any buy-in

It took me about 3 weeks to hit 1,000 bankroll started off without around 200-300 playing $10 and $20 Stt's. I was playing well though hitting over 30% ROI in both. So if you can achieve this then you should have a $1000 bankroll in 3 weeks.

Assuming you would have enough in 1,000 to bankroll $50 stt's then if your playing 100x$50 STT's per week for the last 5 weeks averaging 20% ROI then you should accumulate $5500 on top of the $1000 bankroll, plus you should be taking advantage of signup bonus +$500 and rakeback approx $500. This would get you $7,000

Still leaves you $3,000 short but if you mix Cash Games in with it maybe achievable. With only a $200 starting balance i would definetely start with $10 stt's because theres not as much variance as cash games and when you get out of the danger zone you could start introducing Cash Games.

Good luck and post the blog address if you do start, would be interesting to keep an eye on

Just to clarify this is not to build a bank roll.

It's really an exercise in discipline etc.

I am all ready bank rolled for my current levels.

There isn't a danger zone as in if i loose it i loose it I won't be trying it twice! :D
