Chrous Digital with the sagem set top box ? (a small while box with sort of an eye logo on the top)

If it is Chorus digital the STB should have two scart outputs on it. You require a scart to composite adapter that will convert the output. Other stores like TV shops and such may stock them as well.

Plug the adapter into the one of the scart outputs and then set the switch on it to output. Now plug the composite video cables* into the adapter and into the tuner in the computer.

    * Yellow for video, red/white for audio.

What 8T8 says but you would be better off using the S-Video connector if you have the choice and your box supports it. The black-and-white issue mentioned on the Komplett review is 100% down to the connected equipment and nothing to do with the adapter.

Well I'm lost as I have only experience with the Chorus services that use set top boxes.

You certain Chorus/NTL is whom your getting your TV from ?

Maybe someone else knows what service your using.

Given that he is in Dublin, it's probably NTL analogue.

Evd-Burner - you really need to give us more info on the computer and the TV card. Right-click on My Computer and select Manage, go to Device Manager.
