Had a look at it last night, and had a good laugh. Wonder what happened with it? Everywhere that is now Gundam was 360 ads, with a front on view on the left side column and a pic of the remote on the right, and ads for game catalogue along the top.

Sony wouldn't do that, they don't seem to have a sense of humour.

I can see Nintendo doing that though. Like I read somewhere else, someone from Microsoft said "Buy a 360 and a Wii for Christmas instead of a PS3" and then someone from Ninty basically said (paraphrasing, of course) "Screw that, just buy a Wii and more games instead"

No...they don't do that because they aren't that desperate and don't need to.
It just shows that Micro$oft hold the Playstation 3 in high regard and knows everyone else does too.So they know their advertisements would be seen and acknowledged.This thread is a fine example.If they had of made a bunch of Advertisements in their own section, nobody would care.And odds are not too many people would be swayed to buy one either.
They have just used Sony's Playstation reputation to try desperately to promote themselves.

Dunno if the word 'desperate' is correct there - Microsoft are well, well ahead in the console race at the moment by approximately 7 million (then again, they have had a year head start).

That's really all I was going to say back to you.:)
All I can add is that yes, a whole year and they still are doing really bad compared to what you would expect when you hear a console has had a one year head start.

The Wii will overtake it easily by next year.And as soon as Sony stock up properly on PS3's that will do the same.We can debate this point but time will tell.And the reason the X-Box is doing so bad? Micro$oft made it.

And there is where you are completely wrong
I've lost count the amount of times since the 360's launch that I seen X360 pages covered in ads for PS2 and its games.

I've seen that, yes. Now there wasn't as many as on that page, but the idea behind it is the same.

All his comments you mean, I wouldn't listen to anything he has to say, completly biased... I'm no xbox fanboy tho, I like sony and loved my ps2 for years, I'm getting a wii on friday and will probably get a ps3 at some stage to... I guess I'm just a computer game fanboy!!

Didn't MS lather some shop in Mainland Europe (Paris I think) with 360 adverts just before the launch... a shop that just happened to be beside/across the road from a Sony Centre or something? Maybe it was the other way around.

Anyway, which I doubt the outcome will be quite the same, it reminds me of that Dreamcast advert Sega put up outside Sony's offices (with a ginger kid making a face)... can't find it online though...
