For anyone who has been thinking of attending the Dublin 2600 meets please come along this Friday (tomorrow) as it will the 4 year anniversary of the meets.

The Dublin 2600 meetings take place on the first Friday of each month, with the meetup point being at the phone booths on Wicklow Street beside Tower Records. If you are unfamiliar with the technology magazine 2600 it can be found in Tower Records on Wicklow Street.

The meetings start at 7:00 p.m. we wait for about 30 mintues at Tower Records for anybody running a bit late, we then head on to another location for food, drinks and a chat. If you can please let us know a few days in advance if you are going to attend as a suitable location and number of tables have to be booked in advance, though everybody who turns up on time can be accommodated.

It's just a computer club.

Nobody sponsors these meetings - we meet to make new friends and the pursuit of knowledge. The meetings are open to all people - guys or gals from beginners to technology gurus. The meets are for people interested in computers, privacy, security, telecoms and communications. A friendly atmosphere is always present and attendees come from a wide variety of backgrounds and we welcome all newcomers. The Dublin 2600 meetings are like those of the other organised meetings and can be found here.

There is no agenda at these meets, anything goes, if you were bored it's probably because you didn't make the effort and if you had a good time we'll see you then again next month.
