Honest to God.. Crispin Glover has to be one of the oddest people to grace the earth.

Besides 'Back To The Future', i've seen him in very little else apart from odd Willard last year.

And now comes his directorial debut which we wrote himself - What Is It? - which has the oddest trailer i've ever seen... and it's not particular safe for work.

And just check out some of the roles for the film in IMDB:
    The young man
    The minstrel's nemesis
The young man's outer sanctum friend and inner santum choking victim
Inner sanctum concubine and outer sanctum snail collector
    The young man's fantasy girl
Dueling Demi-God Auteur and The young man's inner psyche
    Snail
Inner sanctum concubine and outer sanctum girl who recognizes burning
Outer Sanctum Mocking tormentor and walkie-talkie grabbing woman that cries later
    Grave digger and mocking tormentor
The minstrel's concubine, mocking tormentor and ultimate outer sanctum victor
    Baby Elephant
    Floating cloud minstrel double
    The young man's mother
    Monkey woman
    The minstrel
    The young man's alter ego
Dueling Demi-God Auteur and the young man's uber ego
Inner sanctum Puppet show audience member and outer sanctum/inner sanctum victim

PS - and his interview on Letterman while on acid is always worth seeing!

I acutually saw about ten minutes of "What Is It?" earlier this year. It's either genius or pretentious, self indulgent masterbation. I can't decide. I've always enjoyed his work and have long felt that he's slightly unbalanced.

He's been in some decant films over the past few years. Willard, Drop Dead Sexy, Fast Sofa, Crime And Punishment and Bartleby.
Check out his Ben. Most people who have the DVD of Willard will have all ready seen it. For the rest of you.

Crispin Glover is also gonna make an appearance in "Epic Movie" which follows along the lines of "Scary Movie" and "Date Movie", except this time of course its gonna be parodies of epic films. He parodies Johnny Depp's character in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
