"Matriculated candidates are considered but admission is on the basis of performance in the music test and interview"

    I'm puzzled?

If you get the grades required, you are considered for entry.

However, you will not be given a place on grades alone. You will have to perform well in the music test and interview to be admitted.

    OK.

    So take this scenario.

Passed and was accepted to a college based on audition and exam.

I have to wait till August for the offers to see if I have enough points from my Leaving Cert or not.

I add both the total points of these for the restricted course and fail to have enough to get in....

    What happens then?

    Is it all over?

Or does 'matriculated candidates' have a way in?
