Anyone know why on my widescreen TV the NTL Digital signal has the image cropped on the left and right ? Yet when I switch back to the analogue signal I see the width.

I have tried the different modes to no avail!!

I've noticed this as well. On Channel 6 (esp watching Buffy The Vampire - Slayer) that some programs 4:3 programmes are FORCED into Widescreen. The result is that no matter which mode your TV is set to - it makes no difference.

I fiddled around with the settings on the NTL and switching between a widescreen transmitting channel and normal 4:3 channel. Eventually its seems to have worked!

After selecting wide screen it works for me most of the time but occasionally it drops so I found the only way to get it back is to select "Help" on the remote and then press the yellow button to restart. It rights itself when it comes back.
