What does the P45 state on it, My sister is going to a new job and they want her p45 ,
Just wondering because she said she was on 55K in her last job but really on 51K, will this appear on the p45 as she ended up getting 61K, she wants to know is there any thing she can do to spot them knowing what she had earned so far for the year, can she get her old job to send it to her and she to the tax office, just tell her old job that she is taking a career break and needs p45 to sign on. she is afraid if something bad comes out of it, she starts job in the new year

She's got a few options, one would be to get Tax office to issue a new tax Clearance cert to her for remainder of current year (31 Dec).

Depending on when her new job starts, and old one finishes, she should be issued her annual tax cert in Jan. She can give them a call, she just has to say she doesnt want new job to see her p45. they usually help people out.

Is it a large company? If so it probably doesn't matter. The P45 will go to payroll to sort out her tax, payroll aren't likely to have any idea what she said she was earning unless she was actually interviewed by the payroll people.

TBH i wouldn't worry about it, its only a few grand, the company are unlikely to have an issue about it.
