    Me 18k
    villain 14

Just sat down at the table so no reads. Avg stack is 12k.

    Blinds 300/600.

Folded to villain in mp, makes it 2k

    One caller,

I look down at AA in the co

    Call or raise?

    or fold...

I'd raise. No need to get tricky. You'll increase your stack by over 15% by taking down the chips in the middle.

Ok, so I was the villain in this hand with 66.and I pushed over the top of his 4k raise. (I think it may have been something like 5750 in total?)

Was my thinking extremely flawed here:

I thought there was a chance this was a squeeze play, I also thought that there was a a chance that this was an ak/aq type hand that was trying to pick it up pf.
I also thought that he'd need a premium pair to call my re-re-raise as he was pretty comfortable in chips and didn't need to risk his stack here as it was fairly early on in the tournament.

Was I unlucky to run into a monster, or was it pretty poor play by me?

Did he min raise to 4k or make it 4k more, 6k total? If it was a min raise then your bet was kind of silly for a couple of reasons.

He made it 6k, a min raise and I would have insta-mucked!

I was at the table here Phantom, the MP raiser was faily tight from what I saw. I reckoned he had KK or AK at least with his raise and with 9k already in the middle he was never folding even a mid pair. I was suprised when you turned over 66 to be honest and would have at worst called this (his 4k raise) and at best folded.

I am not mad about your play in this hand at all. As said, usually with these stacks a reraise shows strength, and it is only a marginal holding like a pair <JJ or <AQ that would consider folding.

You need a pretty subtansial back and forth raising and reraising and squeezing history between you and the other guy before this becomes correct.

And why do you always post your hands backwards?

If you're the AA guy this is an easy raise every time.

I can't remember any hands that I posted like this, other than the ak vs qq one. and that wasn't a serious hand.

Yeah it was pretty poor, my 300 exit hand was similiar. Odd that I played sotight all weekend only to throw away both tournaments in silly plays.
