    Hey all,

Could ye recomend acoustic amps worth looking at.

I have tried the Roland AC60 but for the price, I wasn't too impressed.

There's also a Marshall AS100D out there but I've yet to find one in shops.

Any other amps I should check out?

The Roland amp is expensive but its deff one of the better acoustic amps without going into AER prices. My uncle has a mashal as50 I think and it doesnt hold a patch on my AC60. What didnt you like about the Roland apart from the price?

yeah i thought the ac60 was supposed to be the dogs. BTW i tried the AER and wasn't too impressed with it. suppose it depends on your pickup. Tommy Emmanuel gets a mighty sound out of his but he uses a condenser in conjuntion with the piezo

I only used the AC60 with a cheap guitar in a shop...I use a Martin D-41 with a Fishman Natural. Maybe if I tried the AC60 with a better guitar it might improve matters.

I've read reviews on the Marshall AS50 and it's not meant to be great but the AS100D is supposedly sh1t hot!

Has anyone heard an AER Alpha amp?? There's a 40 watt on ebay for around 600 yoyo's. The Marshall is the same price and thats 100 watts!!

I heard that Fishman also do good amps??

The AC60 is a fantastic amp. Bring in your guitar to the shop and get a proper test of it before dismissing it. If you want higher end then I'd look at an AER Compact 60 or an SWR California Blonde. Also Schertler and Fishman Loudbox are around the same as the ac60
