    Least shocking announcement ever!
Please tell me they didn't have the dramatic screaming red tickertape at the bottom whilst announcing this!
What odds for Sir Clive to return now I wonder?

He could get a £300,000stg payoff after losing 8 out of the last 9 matches.

Damn, wish I had a job where they rewarded incompetence.
    I'd surely be a millionaire :D

I wonder if they'll look to Ireland for a replacement. For some odd reason Keith Wood pops into my head as an option.

I think Andy Robinson is a hero and should get all those honoury Irishman, freedom of the city awards that Jack Charlton got. A golden era for rugby.

Yeah it's sad to see him go, but seriously does it matter to us? Our team today would have destroyed even the WC winning side, I'm certain.

    not so sure about that....

England won the WC against a decent side - lucky to beat a much inferior(than current) NZ side, and us - with a last minute injury time drop kick. We on the other hand, have shown that we are a lot closer than any other side to beating the All Blacks, who let's face it, are many times better than that WC winning team.
Ok, england were a better side in the years preceding the world cup, but We beat them in 2001, and whilst we got demolished in 2002 (going for a GS), we are a helluva better side than that Irish team. So I think do think we would beat anything England had to offer.
I think we have such an opportunity next yr. This team could go down in World Rugby folklore.

Yeah its a pity he didn't stay on longer and keep the england side playin crap and feeling depressed. I wonder who they'll get for the job?

Oh yes of course, missed a year there. Yes it was 2003, Sorry. But still, my point is, the general standard of Rugby now, thanks to the AB's, is a lot higher. And in the last 6 months, Ireland are the only team who really looked dangerous against them. (Except SA in SA, but they looked tired by then, and had little to play for - Ireland went to Eden Park in winter, and but for a first minute try - stupid - and a bad pass, had them beat).

It'll be an English manager. I'd put money on it. They have huge faith in their own capabilities and resources (fair enough. Look at their track record). Ireland are getting so much attention at the moment, it'd be bandwagonesque or admitting defeat to look at an Irish manager.
IMO Robinson was a poor appointment. He didn't show the ability or leadership from the off. Woodward was a hard act to follow, but he failed miserably. I think Corry is a good captain, but the problems are too serious with the squad and management for him to get the best from the team. Long may it last:D

It took a last gasp try to beat them this year.

And thats ignoring the fact that none of our tries should of been allowed in the first place.

Probaly nothing. Wasnt 100% sure how many we scored. So it was 3 of our tries that shouldnt of been allowed.
