ok so tell me where i go wrong cause i feel like a donk.

six left in jackpot 100 game.

    my button i have 54,000
    sb has 59,000
    bb 30,000

total chips in play bout 200,000

    Binds 500/1000

folded to my button i make it 3000 to go with 67 dimonds

    flop 8q9 r

    sb check
    bb check
    i check

    turn 5

    sb bets 5k
    bb folds
    i raise to ten
    sb goes all in

    fold? call?

    i call..

    there holding is jack ten

    sixth gets money back
    1st gets 1600

i was second in chips was running over table had taken my stack from 28k starting table to 54k in less than two blind levels.

    Questions

    Do I play this hand
Do i get involved with chip leader
is it the worst call ever made.

As played, call this all in every time and be happy about it. Cold deck im afraid.

    Bet the flop.
I go broke here too even though I would expect him to have a huge hand he could be a donk with just some sort of draw or 2 pair or something

I agree with the above, just unlucky to run into the better straight. I bet the flop too, if the sb comes over the top it would be a standard enough fold despite your draw possibilities imo.

i agree should of bet the flop although this player has called with big hands and draws so would prob check and i still cant put them on hand. Why does the jackpot hurt me so much third fourth and sixth in a week when playing so well should of finished higher in all.

Cooler hand, the only way I might not have gone broke is if I bet the flop and he pushed.

Nasty turn, the other guys dream card. VUL

    1. yes, on the button 6 handed, (depending on the table dynamics).
    2. if you think you have the best hand, yes. Is it possible this player is pushing without the nuts?
    3. As played, the flop action advice has been given above. ul, wp.

As already said you have to bet the flop here, checked to, in position with OESD. If sb comes ott big you prob get away.

1 & 2 - With the stacks in play, depending on players I prob fold here. This is due to the fact that it looks like a button steal and if either SB or BB come ott I have to lay it down.

3 - As the hand played out just unlucky, your only beat by 10 J. Bit of a cold deck.

joe, your signature has a spelling error in it... sort it out... it should read "give a starving man in a landlocked african region where drought is prolific a fish and make him very happy and feed him for a day, give a starving man in a landlocked african region where drought is prolific a fishing rod and he'll be mighty pissed!"

anyway... anto this is just a horrible situation to be in. you're playing 65 with the hope of sneaking into a big with a straight that will be hard to be put on... if the villain in this hand has 99, or AQ you get a nice chunk of their change! call all day!
