    Hi All,

Not sure if this belongs in consumer issues, or the legal forum, we'll try here first...

Say your given a warrenty on a product that was purchased, but the product wasn't new, eg a used car. What happens if there's a fault with the vehicle, and a part needs replacing, are you entitled to have new parts fitted? or is it reasonable for them to fit parts from a scrapped car??

    Regards...

it wouldnt matter weather its used or not it has physically left the showroom but as its under warrenty(check that parts are covered) you are entitled to a brand new part replacement

using parts from a scrapped car is only to keep down personal costs, and very strange that a garage would do so as they would like to charge you as much as possible unless they are trying to pull the wool over your eyes
