You may be interested to know that when you ring someone on a mobile from your home phone, you get charged the moment you get a ring tone. So, even if they do not pick up on the other end and you do not get to their mailbox, you have been charged 5c + vat. Chaeck your bill for very low time on the calls to mobiles, when you rang but gave up, and you will see the charges.

Rang eircom about this and they do not see a problem. E-mailed comreg and they have no autority on this whatsoever. They are just a intermediate if you cannot get an answer.
