I have no allegiances here to any Irish province, but I think that this is a massive massive loss to Leinster, dare I say even more than if O'Driscoll was out.
The Leinster game seems to me to revolve around his vision and ability to get the back line behind the opposition and is in the respect irreplaceable. As Leinster play a game without running through the phases can they still play this game without him?

Definitely a huge blow. Hopefully the other players can up their levels to cover but it will not be easy.

And Girv out for 3 weeks , concussion !!!

So its Luke in for Girv and Warner in for Phil??? IMO makes best sense.

Some are suggesting Darce in for Phil. That means Horgo to centre, Lewis or Kearney to wing with Luke at FB???

I think its much more common sense to just drop Warner in.

Agen back to back and Ulster twice in 4 weeks. Gonna be a real test of leinster this.

Hopefully they can draw on what ever it is that has them scoring a try 3 times in a row when down a man!

Dramatic??!! If Munster lost ROG and another seasoned 1st teamer they would be fairly worried about away derby to Belfast and back to back V French opposition.

I think only NZ can afford to lose their no 1 OH from any team club or country. Then Add in your FB to boot.

    No drama just worry!:(

The End of the Leinsters HC with 4 games left to play ?

Whitaker returning to scrum half, and the emergence of Fitz/Kearney into the vacant FB spot.

Warner can play fly half, and that still leaves an top class back line.

While losing a player of Felipe's quality is a blow, but hardly a reason to drop heads and concede qualification to the HC knockout

I hope so. Ive seen all season how Phil can carry the team and really step up a gear when the Irish guys are away. Phil almost single handedly kept us winning in a lot of the ML games during internationals.
Now its the lads turn to step up and show they can return the favour.

If the only time you've seen Contempomi was the HC semi last year then you may not realise how this guy has dominated games for Leinster recently. It's a shocking blow, like losing BOD or O'Connell.

I don't believe so. Agen away will be tricky, but we should be able to slot warner in for this - we have a number of World class players on the team besides Pomi. Agen home, Gunners home we will be expected to win. I'm not sure the timescale so he could be back for the final two games. Gloucester away is the match i fear.
But this is why losing away to the Gunners was such a disaster, because now the pressure is on. Still out ability to nick Bonus points should give us at least a runners up spot.
I DO think it will put a hole in our challenge for the Magner's though. Ulster have come a huge way in the last year or so, and I can't see us winning in Ravenhill (hoping for a bit of new Years magic on Lansdowne's swansong) and thomond.
But i can see the IRFU being very careful over 6N with their players, allowing long rests. So we'll have Pomi and ye'll all have nobody :p

Just heard on the radio (Newstalk), Girv is expected to start on Saturday vs Ulster.

Yeah Girv is straight back. Losing Fill is a disaster, but Warner has done okay. We still have players that can bring control to a game. I think we can step up the mark against the french, Warner may not have the same control, skill, speed but he's not a bad player by any means, and having BOD right behind him will allow him to put some structure on the game, which he is very capable of doing... All is not lost...I hope!
