    Is it common for companies selling online to request copies of your ID card and a copy of your credit card front and back (with the card number blanked out except for the last three digits)

    The request was made by email from what appears to be a legitimate address (info@onlinecompany.de) but this is the first time I've had to send ID.

    I think the company is from Germany.

    Does anybody have experience with this type of thing.

    Hey Snivilian, I had the same issue as you a while ago when ordering from thinkgeek check out this thread.

    Just make sure that it is a legitamate email address that your sending it too and that all other details other than those requested are blanked out.

    Yeah! email address looks legit and all the details in the mail are correct so i reckon my drivers license and credit card should cover it.

    No hassle - Drivers licence and CC are exactly what I used to and they were fine.
