    28th Nov 2006
    Barnsley v Southend evens 9 - 4 9 - 4

    Burnley v Leeds 5 - 6 9 - 4 11 - 4

    Colchester v Hull 10 - 11 9 - 4 5 - 2

    Norwich v Leicester 5 - 6 9 - 4 11 - 4

    Plymouth v Luton 4 - 5 9 - 4 3 - 1

    Preston v Coventry 4 - 6 12 - 5 7 - 2

    Sheff Wed v West Brom 8 - 5 11 - 5 7 - 5

    Stoke v Cardiff 5 - 4 11 - 5 9 - 5

    Wolves v Crystal Palace 10 - 11 9 - 4 5 - 2

    QPR v Sunderland 13 - 10 11 - 5 17 - 10

    29th Nov 2006
    Derby v Ipswich 4 - 5 9 - 4 3 - 1

    Southampton v Birmingham 11 - 8 11 - 5 13 - 8

Colchester have won their last 7 home games. I'd say a big reason for that is the away teams don't like playing there as it's the 2nd smallest ground in the entire football league. They won their last match 3-0, albeit against the bottom team, so will be full of confidence. Hull got a decent draw away on Saturday but I don't think they'll fancy another away trip on a cold Tuesday night. Hull's top scorer Parkin is out injured, as is Michael Bridges so they're stuck up front. Colchester should win this.

Barnsley sacked their manager last week and got in 4 players (Grant McCann, Ronnie Wallwork, Leon Knight, Kyel Reid) on loan. They won on Saturday thanks to a last minute goal by McCann. Southend are rock bottom of the league and have got 2 points away from home all season. Their captain, Kevin Maher and Mark Gower were sent off on Saturday and will miss tomorrow's game (depending on appeal). Barnsley should make it 2 out of 2.

Wolves V Palace:@10/11 Was impressed with Wolves on Friday night and they were very unfortunate not to come away with the win. Jemal Johnson in particular looked a real livewire. Palace are having a dismal season and hover just above the relegation zone (they've W1 L6 D3 of their last 10 games)

Liverpool(-1) V Portsmouth:@ 11/8 Although Liverpools injuries are mounting they should still be able to put out a decent first 11. Their home form has been impeccable all season and they'll be expected to continue that tomorrow. Pompey have a problem with their left back position, Stefanovic is ruled out and Taylor the cover missing too. Hopefully Liverpool can exploit this and win by a couple of goals.

    Points Staked:30
    Potential Returns: 136(Inc Stake)

We have no central midifled pighead. dont know if you have heard but Zenden is now out for 4-6weeks. Leaving Gerrard the only recognised CM.

I just ignored Stoke as I thought they were an average team and Cardiff are top of the league. Patrick Berger, Lee Hendrie, Salif Diao, Andy Griffin, Michael Duberry, Danny Higginbottom, Liam Lawrence... If I'd known they had those players available I would have checked up on them and certainly backed them. Stoke v Cardiff on paper to me looked unpredictable as I'm not too knowledgeable on this league.

Interesting so far. 9 home teams winning, 1 away team winning, no draws atm.

Heard that alright, still reckon a midfield of Gerrard, Rise,Carragher and Pennant will be enough to see off Pompey. I'm guessing he'll play Riise left Pennant on the right, Gerrard as the attacking Central Midfield with Carragher as the holding midfielder. Either that or he'll play a 4 3 1 2 with Garcia just ahead of Gerrard Riise and Pennant with the two big lads up front. Either way I reckon they'll beat Pompey.

In other news a late Palace equalizer scuppers Pigheads Tuesday night flutter. Was quite confident late on as Morrison was still on the pitch for Palace but in a shrewd move Taylor brought on Freedman for him in the 75th minute and 10 mins later it was 1-1. Damn Taylors shrewdness.

as chucky pointed of liverpool have serious problems in MF so i believie pompy can come away with a point, liverpool will have to put defenders in there, not a good sign.
in the bolton/chelsea match i just have a funny feeling bolton will scape a draw.
man utd, arsenal and villa i feel are my sound bets and should win.

    good luck all

Yeah but its not any old defender, its Jamie Carragher who has played the role of holding midfielder on numerous occasions before. He's even played there with England! Reckon Pennants gonna have a lot of space and joy tonight on the right side.

i`ll take some of your point pighead but JC isn`t having the best of seasons,in fact the liverpool defence has been quite shocking this year

Agree they have been shocking away from home but at Anfield they've been they're usual reliable selves. Only Man City have conceded less.

I think this is the bet of the day. Great price for Villa who haven't lost at home against a City side who haven't won away

I'd actually have more confidence betting for Villa tonight than I would Liverpool. :) In saying that, I'll avoid both.
