New Job Assessment

    Hi All,

I am registered here a while but decided to go with an anon nick for this one.

I have an assessment for a position in my job tomorrow.
The assessment is for a position in our corporate customers department.

The position involves dealing with a set group of corporate customers over the phone. (Similar to managing their accounts we hold)

I am really looking forward to the application process for this position as I really like the type of position on offer. However, I am not sure as to what will be in the asessment.
I have asked around and some say it involves things like letter writing abilities, some say extracting information from our internal systems and exporting to excel for the customers but this all seems a bit easy and I am worried what I will be asked to complete.

All this is even before the interview stage.
Has anyone ever been through an application of this kind that could posssibly advise what I can expect??

    Thanks

seems strange to me to have an assessment on an internal job application.
surely they know what you can and cant do already?

i would expect very basic stuff to ensure you have the required competencies to do the job.
its probably for equal opportunitiess type stuff so youll do the same assessment an external applicant would do

Possibly, the job is not too hard, at least at first glance it doesn't seem to hard.
I am curious what other tasks could be asked as part of an assessment for a job like this.

It would be best to treat this as you would a normal interview. Act professionally, dress smartly - do not be complacent.
As for the assessment itself, it is hard to say what format it may take. Have you tried asking your HR department?

    Best of luck!

It went fine, it was all scenario based stuff.
I think I did ok and yes I did treat it like a normal interview, lets just hope now I make it for the interview. :D
