Cancellation Question

    Hi

I have just cancelled my Sky subscription after 1 year. I'm planning on moving out of my house and intend to rent it out. I'm wondering should I take my digibox and card with me so that the tenants can subscribe to sky using their own seperate contract or leave the box without the cancelled UK (NI) card?
Also should I tell sky that I am moving out of the house?

No matter how good your tenants are, would you like to leave a piece of electronic equipment for them?? Also if they are foreigners, they wil probably want to put up one of those Cyfra + Dishes that everyone has around!

I'd say see who you have in the house and what they require and also do you have a need for the box yourself or will it just sit idle under the stairs.

Yeah, your tenants might like to use it for BBC and ITV (C4 and five if you leave the cancelled NI card) free to air. Of course, you might want to keep it yourself for the same reasons!

As TheDriver said, probably best to see what the new tenants would like to do.

Won't be using the digibox or card. I would like them to get their own subscription so if that were the case would I have to tell sky that I am not living at the house anymore?

If there happy with the basic FTV channels then I'll leave the box and card but I take it they can't resubscribe on my cancelled account?

No they can't subscribe on your account without personal details. Take the card away if worried. Otherwise punch a hole just infront of where it sticks out of box and put a tie wrap arround box to stop inadvertant loss of card.
