Does anyone know if it is possible to have a truly multiuser access database on a network?

I have a MS Access database that I want 2 users to be able to update the tables in it at the same time. I have it on a shared network.

    Is this possible?

    yes it is

a lock file is created beside the database to control things

put the database called database.mdb on the network drive
let 2 users open it, a new file should appear beside it called database.ldb if its configured properly

if the ldb does not appear you need to fiddle a bit and then test until it does.

once the ldb appears after its opened its safely in multiuser mode whether it be 2 or 20 (although its dog slow with 20)
