I tried my Zen extra 60G last night with my 360 and low and behold, no joy.

So I figured perhaps I need to update the firmware, which it turns out I do but I decided to have a snoop before I do.

    This makes for interesting reading.......

I love my creative mp3, im on my second one now, wont touch ipods. But, i have to say, creative are piss poor at supporting products. Ever tried downloading drivers to get a creative mp3 to work on your pc? Give it a try sometime, its a right barrel of laughs i tell ya. Namely because there ARE NONE. Dont have win xp sp2? Well then youre f*cked. Your players not gonna work no matter what drivers you install. And as for thier installer software, im not even going to get started on that sh!te.

I got the missus a 30G and it died when it was under warrenty so I had to send it back but to be fair to them they sent me a 60G back. I hear you though their software development side of things leaves a lot to be desired half the time Xp does not see the mp3 Player using their own software so I installed Notmad and have had no problems with it. Its a pity because the products themselves are good just the software is so sh1te.

I had a creative crap out on me and I just used the maintenance menu to fix it.

Yeah, I'm not updating my firmware to connect to the 360, I'll lose all my tracks.

Tis what I did, haven't bothered putting the tracks back on the player yet but nothing went wrong updating the firmware and the one or two tracks i did put back on it played fine.

I think - turn it off, rhen hold the power button in and the play button at the same time and you get a maintenance menu.
